First thought.. Look for a way to start the business "part time" while still maintaining your regular employment. The reasons are these.. You WILL make mistakes.. and a part time business can make them on a smaller scale and correct them more easily with less long term damage, while having a fall back safety net if something that takes a lot of time or money to fix crops up. Also remember that you dont just work in the businness, providing the labour or the service. You also need time to work ON the business, to grow it, make it bigger and better. You may decide you need training for that, or to hire people to provide some services. (like accounting, book keeping or advertising) Not forget to plan those things if it shows signs of taking off.😷

@Mergirl123 Mine ran for over ten years before I sold out to get my life back. But I was very lucky at times. Another thing to remember. Bad news always comes faster and worse. Good news always takes longer than expected and is never quite as good as you hope.😷

I'd say limit orders till you know how many you can cope with then increase as needed. That way you're not swamped with orders and struggle with the customer satisfaction bit

It's quite easy to start in a relaxed manner by taking baby steps. Don't invite attention by making an announcement in any manner.

Don't take in orders without testing your product performance.

First get the hang of the business by working out the cost, price , quantity to make each day etc. You're dealing with food that are perishables .. so carefully select your ingredients.

Note down your speciality and the difference you plan to make .. unique aspects of your product.

Ideally see if you can place it on the shelf of a mini mart or any shop.

(Shall write in more) ..
You should think about the path to a food truck.

@SomeMichGuy icant dofulltime though butgreatidea for future
@Mergirl123 Really, you should find out the sorts of things you could *easily* do in a food truck setting, snd concentrate on making *those* exquisite. That way, you'd just be shifting to a kitchen on wheel (though a *dedicated* kitchen *only* for your business).

I think there is *always* room for QUALITY products with GREAT service.

Go make some quality eats with that great service! 😊😊😊
