Urgh - that moment after you've eaten and realise you hated the food and it has an aftertaste!!

I don't know if it is an aftertaste or just something that you aren't used to in your regular eating or both, I bought my usual homemade deli tuna salad once, brought it home, and made my usual sandwich - and from the first mouthful,it burned my mouth and upper throat, and made me SO thirsty - it took half a bottle of ice tea to take out the burn. I called instiacart and they offered me credit, which I took, but I had to dispose of the rest of it.

Two weeks ago, I specified online Velveeta regular sliced cheese. The Instacart shopper brought the four packages I required - but the label said "taste of sharp cheddar". Cheese is cheese, but there is an aftertaste after making and eating a sandwich from this offer.

With this pandemic, they won't take anything back - and I have told the order fillers to PLEASE give me SMALL BOTTLES (1/2 GALLONS) and they bring me gallons of milk, which don't fit into my small refrigerator (apartment size).

Yes, unfortunately that has happened to me more than once. Most notably, our local Chinese food takeout place, Happy Garden, sent me a nice hot carton of moldy chicken lo mein four years ago. I couldn't believe it, and tasted it twice.

The result was long term intestinal distress.

Not as traumatic as the two idiots who delivered from Jewel=Osco when I first moved in here. The first driver called me from her cellphone - she couldn't find me. She was driving around VILLA PARK and couldn't find my street (I live in OAK PARK). It took her four hours to find me.
The second delivery person said he "couldn't come inside the building because of the virus" and left my order scattered over the inner mail lobby without waiting for me to gather it. I managed to get the bags inside and thank God one of the girls from the back hall saw me and offered me an assist.

After that, I switched to Pete's Market. They might make the occasional mistake, but if I call and complain to Instacart, they will credit my order and issue me a credit which can go to my next order.
