I have always been interested in it but its hard to get round here and I don't know what kind of meals you'd use it in...

A simple recipe I did once was to cut the ends off, saute it in a pan for a few minutes, then add a bit of beef stock, boil for 10 minutes. Squeeze some lemon over it and it's good to go.
