In the grocery/drugstore business we call that "grazing."

@PatKirby when I was working at a Walmart there was a woman known for scarfing chicken tenders & Mac & cheese while working in the deli...like 2 pounds of Mac & cheese at a time and no telling how many chicken tenders and other things. She wasn’t grazing.

@cherokeepatti Sounds like she did more than gazing too. 2 pounds, wow that's a lot! She ever get caught?

@PatKirby the other deli workers knew. And there was a Subway restaurant next to the deli, at every break time and lunch she would go in there and refill her super-large Subway cup with soft drinks and walk out. She claimed the manager told her that she could do it. I saw the WM go in there and talk to him and he was pointing his finger at him ordering him not to give her drinks. I think doing that just made her feel entitled to steal the deli food. I don’t know why they didn’t fire her for stealing so much food, but she was still there months later after I quit.

@cherokeepatti That doesn't sound right. Maybe they held back because she had connections? Or did they need to catch her red handed first?
Wow, that's a lot of food, what a porker!
