Boy am I an idiot. I put my jiaozi in the steamer, filled it with water, and set the timer, but never plugged it in.

And then somehow didn't realize something was wrong when I couldn't hear the water boiling even ten minutes later.

Thank god you refer to them by their actual name unlike most uneducated swines 馃槍

@SW-User What do most people call them? I usually call them jiaozi unless I pan fry them in which case I say gyoza.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick dumplings. I even call them dumplings these days, so morons know what I鈥檓 talking about
BlueMetalChick26-30, F
@SW-User Well that's rather silly. I mean, they are a type of dumpling, but that word is so vague and unspecific. It's like if I asked what you put on your sandwich and you just said "meat" or "vegetables."

@BlueMetalChick for real 馃槶 somebody gets it
BlueMetalChick26-30, F
@SW-User If I'm not mistaken, Koreans make them too, and call them mandu.

@BlueMetalChick I don鈥檛 know to be honest and I really don鈥檛 care 馃槀

@SW-User As long as you don't eat them with a motherfucking fork.
