Yes, I've had them. They are supposed to be healthy, and people who want to lose weight can eat them instead of potato chips.

Unfortunately, the woman who served them to me in my church group drenched them with oil, negating the healthy effects.

There is an olive oil cooking spray that can be used instead, and the kale chips made with the cooking spray are not so greasy.

@4meAndyou Avocado oil would be good on them too. I just dip my fingers in oil and rub it on them, I don’t dip them or anything like that and they don’t taste greasy to me.

@cherokeepatti I buy the big jugs of avocado oil, so I agree it is a good oil. I like your ideas of rubbing each leaf with the oil. All the recipes I have seen are just SO greasy.

@4meAndyou you don’t use as much oil that way, it’s a little time consuming but oh well, I’m retired. They are good on the keto diet and paleo too.

@4meAndyou olive oil is actually very healthy for your intestines

@Penny I use it and avocado, sometimes sesame oil in bean soup and hummus I make...there are only a few oils I can use without getting inflamed.

@Penny I like the Light Tasting Olive Oil. I keep at least three types of oil on hand, including Sesame Oil. Both olive oil and Avocado oil are really good for you. I haven't tried it yet, but Gordon Ramsey mentioned that grape seed oil adds absolutely no flavor to fried foods, and is a good bet for delicate seafood, etc.

@4meAndyou Grapeseed, Safflower and Sunflower oils set me on fire. I felt like I was burning around my internal organs, no lie...got a bad feeling like I could die. Stopped with those oil and healed up. Cashew milk has also done that to me.

@cherokeepatti You have a super sensitive system. But we both like avocado oil, and we know it won't kill us.

@4meAndyou I used to be able to cook with sunflower oil in my 20’s, it was sold in grocery stores back then almost all the stores. Fried potatoes tasted really good cooked in sunflower oil. Sucks not to be able to use it. Avocados are supposed to be healing for the thyroid gland.
