When I questioned my insurance agency why my premium rose their response was; "That is what insurance premiums do, they go up every year. Everyone accepts that."
My response was, "A great business model for insurance companies, but piss poor for the consumer"
I cancelled my insurance with that company and went elsewhere.

@Gusman ugh they make me sick 😡

@AngelUnforgiven Maybe if you shop around you can find a better deal.
No need to be loyal to them. Companies rely on loyal customers; it gives them the opportunity to bleed them dry.
Look elsewhere, cancel automatic deduction if you have it.
You can cancel anytime and the company must pay back what will not be used.

@Gusman It happens everywhere. But you can make a dent by accepting a higher excess and limiting who can drive your car. If the company doesnt tell you this, then it is time to shop around..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Higher excess is just another rip off. I have a $600 windscreen excess.
Insurance should cover everything without excess clauses.

@Gusman i have shopped around and every quote was either higher or the same

@AngelUnforgiven Maybe for a once off, take-out third-party insurance only.
Would be about a quarter of the price. At least that way you are still covered if you cause an accident.

@Gusman I agree on principle . Lots of things "shoulda" but they dont. Now I happen to know what you drive and that its worth protecting. Since you are in a different part of the country I cant suggest a company, just shop and look for a deal..😷
