Florida in an Insurance Crisis

I have been paying 4800 per year for my homeowners with large deductibles. I received my renewal for 9899 per year. I received a Citizens' quote for 5640 today. I can pay that all in one lump sum. Or lower my coverage. Pretty upset over this.

With the increase in severity of storms, the r sevin ocean levels, Florida probably has had bad experiences already, and the weather insurance companies are trying to protect themselves.

Those who argue against climate change, this is nothing compared to the future unless a major effort occurs to hold back or reverse the release of climate changing gases.
