Current balance is nearly $500. I can't live off it, but it's in a supposed 'high interest' account with online only access.

My savings ends 3.0 to 3.5% depending on the month. That's about as high as you'll get.

@Virgo79 Since covid no standard savings account pay interest in deposited funds here. Banks are exploiting Covid-era policies and making it very dis-incentivised to have savings.
