Couples; Do you pool your money together?

Do you pool your money together in one account and pay the bills out of that account, or do you have seperate accounts and are each responsible to pay different things?

Separate accounts but we split our bills half and half. The bill gets paid out of one or the other's account, then the one whose account it didn't get paid from will pay the other one their half.
