A writer expressing an opinion a few others do not like. Whatever next? How dare she. Shouldn't be allowed.

So much for "social" in "social media".

@ArishMell I really don't think you should comment on things you don't know about. But you do you.

@LordShadowfire I do know actually. The wroter expressed an opinion - whether I agree or disagree is not relevant here - and became bullied on-line for doing so.

It's not what she thinks that matters, but the fact of the bullying.

@ArishMell The writer did much more than express an opinion. To begin with, her opinion was about whether or not trans people should be allowed to use the restroom corresponding to the gender with which they identify. The writer expressed the "opinion" that all trans women are basically men trying to sneak into the ladies' room to assault women. And then, when she was told that her BS hot take was transphobic, not only did she refuse to educate herself, she doubled down on the hate, and kept doubling down, and today that's all her Twitter feed consists of is hate. And it's no longer just hate for the trans community. It's hate for all the rest of us in the LGBT rainbow.

But even so. All of that is just her exercising her first amendment rights. And if that's all she was doing, you might have a good point.

It's not. So you don't.

Because what she's doing now is, she's taking the money she's made from her books, movies, TV shows, and video games, and she's spending millions of dollars supporting anti-trans organizations that are working around the clock to take away the rights trans people have fought for nearly half a century to get. She wants to shove them back in the closet and nail the door shut.

I warned you you shouldn't comment on things you didn't know about. Now you've been taken to school.
