@JimFarris16 while that's true i actually preferred Harry and Ginny, at least based on the books. a lot of their scenes were cut throughout the movies.

No. they treated each other as friends through and through. there was no romantic angle portrayed at them ever. it was friendship and family between them

They could have been whatever J. K. Rowling wanted. Obviously she didn't want that to happen anymore than have Hermione be a lesbian. Which she obviously didn't want either. 🤷‍♂️
