My response would be "why do we need a separation for that to occur? How about an open marriage?"

@dancingtongue Husband to Wife: We can certainly discuss this, but why do we need a trial separation? Wife to Husband: "Well, I thought you might feel uncomfortable if I was dating and you and I were still having sex". Husband to wife: "maybe we should have a trial sexless marriage so we could date other people".

@islanderPEI Thanks for b.c. but not sure why a sexless marriage has to be in the equation, unless there are other factors involved besides her wanting a hall pass.

@dancingtongue it does not have to be in the equation, but she indicated a preference for that, I was excited by the idea and saw it as a way to try out my long stifled same sex desires.

@islanderPEI Whatever works. Different strokes as they say.

@dancingtongue agree - turned out I am very much a cuckold.

@islanderPEI Enjoy. I did, the few times I got the opportunity with my late partner. My late wife, before her, never was willing. Felt I would be too jealous, or use it as justification for chasing other women.
