When I wore heels I preferred stockings—either thigh highs or with a garter belt. Silk were nice. I hated pantyhose.

If they're formal heels, I think stockings look more glamorous and sexy. With casual heel shoes around the house or town, nice tanned legs look great too.

Mary Janes with socks are my personal go-to.
I never wear heels myself, and I absolutely never go barefoot.
I do agree, though, that heels look far better with bare feet.
