Because they never say it's "natural" beauty contest they say whatever that can make you look prettier than the rest contest. Plus they also check IQ level.

But I get what she is saying; athletes enhancing their performance via drugs is not allowed during competition , so why at a beauty competition can the women enhance their beauty with makeup? The difference is, ALL the women in those competitions are wearing makeup— so fair is fair, right? Also as you said… they aren’t putting the makeup into their bodies (no adverse effects) haha
