@jherind183 90% of the men in the AVP go topless. Your country may vary. I play beach vball. When diving that sand goes everywhere. The less you wear the better. But I am not 25 and ripped like these athletes so I wear a spandex shirt. It still gets in it and it is uncomfortable.

Sadly, women are typically seen as sex objects in modern day sports because there's a greater chance that men might tune in more to see near naked women rather than because they appreciate a good game of, let's say tennis.

Many sports featured in the Olympics were sadly not given the attention that they deserved in schools when I attended - so people don't even understand the rules of the sport, much less play as a form of exercise or compete in amateur competitions, never mind playing professionally and being selected to represent anyone in the Olympics.

With that in mind... how else do you get large swathes of people to watch something that they know nothing about???

@jherind183 I'm not sure if the governing body of the sport ever gave one. But the Norwegian sports federation backed the women in their protest.
