Have you ever worn something a long time ago... You found said object and put it on and now you want to wear them again?
I was going through some clothing totes that I had not seen in forever. I find these leg warmers and I put them on and remembered I liked these a long time ago.
I decided that I would put them on and do laundry and what not around the house. I had to go get some scripts from Safeway so I get a cart and do some shopping. Finally I get to the counter. I tell them what you do and I get this..."Excuse me"
I am now thinking that I am going to meet a Karen. I turn around and say "what's up"?
Where did you get your socks at? I tell her Bombas . I figured that she seen a poka dot as they are covered in different color dots. I look down and think "what did I do to forget to take them off" type thoughts.
She seen me change a few colors. I said that I honestly didn't remember I still don't. She then says that she liked the way the look. I am relieved a little bit.
This brought back my liking of the poofy slouch socks. I have pictures of the ones that I am looking at getting. The first picture is my shoes and leg warmers I wore to the store.
Two prized skirts that I have taken great care of and hand wash. They hang in my closet to this day next to the rest of my skirts and dresses. I don't know why I like them so much still and haven't donated them. The blue one, I used to wear with a black crop top, and have lots of fond memories. I've had it since I was 16, I think? It's stretchy and still fits. And the gold one I wore with a tucked in black blouse for good luck at piano recitals, etc. I remember saving up 130 dollars to buy that beauty, because I thought it looked professional af. It's ridiculously good quality too.
I always refused to eat or drink anything then water wearing those skirts because I never wanted to spill anything on them.
@Scribbles That's a lovely story behind your gold skirt 🙂 I wish more people would take proper care of nice clothes and not regard them as throwaway items, because they can be really important in giving us confidence and preserving memories.
My senior squad leotard from when I did gymnastics. I put it on every so often to see if it still fits 🙂 It reminds me of how proud and excited I was to be competing with the older girls. But turquoise is not, and never was, my colour!
@silkydrawers That looks fun. I'm not a nightie person. But I remember watching Jennifer love Hewitt on Ghost whisperer and she had epic nightgowns that I was a little jealous of. 🤣
