The women who wear the Niqab fascinate me.

Yesterday was hot - 35C - 95F - I viewed three women wearing black Niqab.
Surely they would become hot and sweaty? Sure, the Niqab is worn loosely, but black?
Black absorbs all wavelengths thus creating heat. 🤷‍♂️

Thing about "loose" black clothing is it makes its own air conditioning in really hot weather. Yet it must be very loose. Tight black clothes simply don't have any room for air to move.

Sir Lawrence of Arabia supposedly wore a black loose robe BTW.
@DeWayfarer i can second this from experience .
I used to be a ground's keeper, out all day in the sun.
And i experimented with this concept, not believing it.

Its true, but....it depends upon a breeze of at least 3kph.
And the clothing must be vented or loose.

It truly holds up. I had some shirts, same make , same style, one pale beige , one black - and the black one qas cooler . I was officially amazed.

@OogieBoogie high winds often occur in hot weather here. I live in a semi desert. This last year it got to 116° f 46.67°c.
@DeWayfarer ooh yuck !😳😖
It does.
So it not only absorbs the suns radiation wavelengths, but also the radiated heat from your own body .

And if its loose , and there is a breeze, then that absorbed heat in the fabric is wicked away.

I SWEAR , (oh shuddup i can hear ya😂), that this works . Ive tested the theory . Unbelievable - but true.

@OogieBoogie Fascinating stuff. Certainly does not look cooling.
Head heat must be stifling?
@Gusman i dunno, I've never worn one. Just loose black clothes .🤷‍♀️
