@Mindful Yeah, we see snippets, not the whole picture and another thing is that even if these famous people knew us who says they would like us? With social media, it can be easy for people to build parasocial relationships and I don't say it can't ever work and become real friendship because I've seen fans becoming friends with band members and other staff around it but what I want to say is that nobody should lose their head over their favorite celebrity replying to their comment because well, you're people, you communicate, that's it. It doesn't mean anything more than that and just because a fan might be crazy about their favorite celebrity, this doesn't give them any right to pester them beyond that small interaction or think that they are special in some way.

Another thing is how social media sites work and how famous people use them. The algorithm is sometimes crazy and over the years, I've seen stuff related to someone famous that felt way too personal. For example, Facebook suggested me groups where they talked to their friends and that felt really weird because hey..this is their personal space, I have literally no business there. Why am I seeing this at all? Why was I suggested this? Same with some Instagram profiles where they show their private life. Okay, it's their choice but I don't want to see that. This is why I mostly add only profiles that seem professional and don't mix it with private life. There are exceptions but I'm kind of sensitive to this because at times it feels like accidentally walking into someone's house, into a family scene and I stand there like a complete stranger feeling super awkward as a completely foreign element that is not supposed to be there.
