Have you known anyone who met someone famous?

I worked with a guy who was once in the same room with Hitler. My co-worker said he had the most mesmerizing eyes and captivating presence of anyone he could remember.

I've met a couple of best-selling authors, my Dad knew quite a few pro athletes, my Grandfather associated with politicians and famous scholars.
