Of course they are still relevent today.. As a species we will face new fitness tests that will cull the herd. (Like we need reminding after covid) And those better equipped to deal with them will prosper relative to the others. Thats how the game is played..😷

@Thinkerbell First, I would need your definition of social Darwinism.. Second, its not my game play. Its about how Homo Sapiens got to the top of the food chain and how long we stay there. Not my problem..😷

@Thinkerbell Ahh Yes.. Say as "Noblesse Oblige" Since I dont view us as being different to any other animal I see humans are no different than us farming chickens or cows. One could make the comparison thats how the consumer culture works. But for a while there the White folks from the fertile crescent kept expanding and displacing the natives all over, later with Guns, germs and steel. But we have run out of planets now and things need to change...😷

@Thinkerbell Not arguing with any of that.. What I am saying is those very things you mention are part of what propelled us to the top of the food chain. We also have a propencity for cruelty that is the envy of cats. We are also the own creatures conscious of our own mortality.. And that while we are able to think, plan and pass on knowledge, those skills seem to be wasted on some folks..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman It's estimated that the human herd is prone to about 26,000 different diseases. We will not get out of life alive.

"Each disease is arranged in MalaCards under 2 distinct categories: anatomical and global. The anatomical disease section includes 18 major categories with more than 26,000 diseases representing all areas of the body, including blood, bone, immune, muscle, and reproductive diseases. The global disease section contains 6 categories: cancer, fetal, genetic, infectious, metabolic, and rare diseases, and almost 18,000 specific diseases."

@Thinkerbell Yep. This is where Asimovs three laws of Robotics kick in. But they really only apply to robotics.. AI may find a back door...😷

@Thinkerbell Theoretically, the chips inside your hairdryer, toaster or microwave can be programmed to turn on you at a pre determined date. Enjoy your pop tart..😷

@Thinkerbell You think all those appliance electrocutions in the home are an accident??😷
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@whowasthatmaskedman

Nah, those were caused by faulty installations by incompetent Gen Z electricians... high-school
dropouts.
Could have happened long before AI. 🙄
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell See.. A conspiracy theorist would have AI secretly inbedded in those basic chips and communicating over the power grid (like baby monitors) to plot, sceme and coordinate every time a human gets close to discovering them. Alexa is listening..😷
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@whowasthatmaskedman

Alexa is taking bribes from the CCP and giving them all your information, including what she picks up by eavesdropping.

The CCP has a social credit score for everyone that uses Alexa or any other smart assistant.

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell You do realise this BS will be official conspiracy theories before Thanksgiving now and people are going to start whispering around Alexa..😂
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@whowasthatmaskedman

Ugh, Kemo Sabe, better not have-um Alexa at all.
Bad enough, companies know-um what to sell you.

And Alexa make-um mind so dull, you no know-um how do-um research yourself anymore, just take-um Alexa's word for fact.

Old professor, him should know-um this, unless him work-um for CCP too. 😳

Kemo Sabe, maybe you not so kemo anymore! 🤔

@Thinkerbell I dont have Alexa, or Facebook, or instaspace.Tracking is turned off on my phone..My watch is smart enough to tell the time.And the only apples in the house are for eating...😂
