@Budwick I agree. I was really hoping they would rescue them. It's hard to believe that any manned submarine would not have a transponder for just such emergencies.

@Musicman That submarine has been reported to have several problems from the beginning. Instead of using a secondary hull, an experimental fiber glass was used to built the Titan. Even some former tourists who previously went down admitted it was more of a "suicide mission" due to various issues with the submarine. Not having a transponder or search beacon was just one of many of the problems. ☹️
