I definitely wasn’t one of those moms with a perfectly kept house and dinner on the table every evening when my kids were babies. I’m still not “perfect mom/wife material” according to some…. My house will never look like a magazine, dinner is sometimes just quick easy shit (although I do enjoy cooking meals)… But my kids always know I love them, and we have fun. Also my kids don’t care if our house looks “perfect”, both of them have expressed whenever we get home “I can’t wait to be cozy”, also my daughter most of all won’t eat a lot of my home cooked meals (because VEGGIES LMAO), my son will for now.

Go easy mama… the mess will always be there, and if it’s that you truly need time for self care… you gotta find people you trust to support you

I used to sleep when my son slept on me, we just padded the floor with pillows along the couch just incase he rolled off.

Yep. Also, while the baby is sleeping, you may also need to rest.

Having a partner that also helps out with the baby as much as possible is important, so that you can trade off.
