Frankenstein tree surgery i.e grafting. 🌿🌿🍋

This was a damaged quince tree that had a very healthy main stem. I used branches from a century + old loquat tree that lives in an ancestor's home and attached them to the main stem.

Heating the wax in fire:

Garbage bags to make sure they don't move with winds and don't get too wet. The top of the branches needs to be sealed with wax as well to prevent moisture from escaping.

A month later:

The mother tree from where I got the branches 👇

Grafting is very cool. I hope it thrives and yields much fruit in the future.

Trees are amazing. Great work!
Our neighbour has butchered ours 😢
@Miram We said he could trim what overhang into his garden, but he's hacked branches off and left them hanging precariously into our side. We can't reach to get them down. We had complete cover and now we're overlooked.
