My tiny tornado

So it was a good night. The boys and Joel went to boy scouts while Star, me and by buddy got make overs from our daughter. Are nails are blue and white for the upcoming baseball season. And everyone but me got lots of braids in their hair.

When the boys got home we had dinner and a pretty quiet night of Legos and movies. Joel also got his nails and hair styled

Bed time was great the boys in bed by 8 sissy in bed by 9. Star was in bed for the night and we all had a cigar and whiskey.

Joel and my buddy went to bed around 10.

I was getting stuff ready for the morning when I heard a loud scream if Daddy help then crying. I ran to the boys room and our youngest was sitting at the end of his bed in tears and shacking. He woke up everyone in the house. I calm him down and he tells me he got scared because he couldn't find his pillows. Again I showed him they were at the top of his bed. Joel and I get him settled back in bed and I stay with him until he falls asleep.

We are at a loss. We have no clue what is causing this.

I plan on calling his counselor in the morning and see if we can have a family question.

It broke my heart seeing so scared and to not understand why and what is going on.

This tiny tornado of ours.

I do think to alleviate his distress, get two more pillows and have them at the bottom end of the bed.
Try it, see what happens.

@Gusman this consumer did not want to do that right now. We got signs that say head and feet that glow in the dark so if he wakes up he'll know he's at the wrong end of his bed. We were going to do it and honestly if he has another bad night I'm going to do it anyway

@Cigarguy I am glad you have sought help regarding this matter. Best to deal with it before it gets out of hand.

@Gusman yes he broke my heart last night because I didn't know how to fix it. So I knew we needed extra help on this

An extra set of pillows at the foot of the bed might help temporarily, but I do think that the REASON for this abnormal fear of not being able to find his pillows needs to be examined.

Just off the top of my head, it would seem to me that pillows represent security. When he LOSES something that makes him feel secure, he freaks. Possible emotional scars from the loss of his mother? Who knows?

@4meAndyou That does make sense.
Cigarguy · 41-45, M
@4meAndyou we or his consumer think he's missing his mother and Joel's ex wife, she's been out of town for a few weeks and he's struggling with Star being home but unable to interact with him like normal.

Could he be having nightmares? Maybe talking to his counselor will help.
Cigarguy · 41-45, M
@Barefooter25 he doesn't remember but we think he is. Something to do with him feeling unsafe and alone
