Email from the school

So as if I don't have enough going on this week I get an email from the school about my youngest boy. It asked me to call them to schedule a meeting.

So I call and of course I'm worried and trying to get any information but I'm told that his teacher and counselor want me to come have a meeting with them. Again I ask why but the receptionist doesn't have any other details.

So I make the meeting for first thing tomorrow morning and I'll just reschedule my doctor's appointment I had.

I check his school portal daily. He's grade's are good, no messages from any of his teachers, all positive remarks so I have no idea what this can be about.

But now I'm stressing out and over thinking everything!

Dealing with the school system is a pain in the 4ss.

It seems he failed a very important test but he can't remember what one.

He is seven years old, I doubt any test is "Very important".

If he were like 18 and trying to get into some prestigious college, then yeah a test might be "Very important" but not a test for a little kid who is learning the very basics like his A B C's

@HoeBag well this is coming from him too. So who knows what test it was or even if it was a test.

I just think the email should of provided me with more information so we know what is going on.

@Cigarguy The school system LOVES to over exaggerate cr4p. Oh believe me.
They didn't give much context cause they are playing the game of "Let's build suspense and drama".

My son is 28, he had a hard time in school, so of course the admins wanted to have all these meetings, sometimes with whatever "God of the school system" just to pour over the SAME cr4p that they always did.

The meeting would be the us parents, the principal, vice principal, teacher, school psychologist, some intern, the lunch lady, even the custodian who cleaned the restrooms.

And they used the word "cognitive" a lot.

My son and I still joke about all that stuff to this very day.

Dad, just don't let any of that stuff bother you. Just agree with them best you can and try to avoid their drama traps.

What will the school say your son failed at? Probably coloring outside the lines or he couldn't do 30 pushups in gym. Likely it is nothing.
