It has already been proven by science to be truth. I was a lot forgetful during my pregnancy and experienced “ brain fog” . Once I gave birth things slowly went back to normal.

@Younameit I'm not saying yay or nay, being that I know all this is highly subjective, and women will just all go 'yeah it is real', and I'm a dude so a dude's opinions on things about pregnancy are universally considered invalid. ;-)
What I would say is that cognitive function doesn't reduce, it just changes because the 'directives' resulting from the bio-chemical processs of forming a new human being make the woman's brain think differently. I'm sure men's brains have a similar shift in mindset if they are enabled to be committed involved co-pre-parents and are not excluded largely from the pregnancy experience (as I was with the second ex).

I could imagine something like that.
I would also think a placebo effect could take place if aomeone thought that.
I also think that effect could be from spending alot of time communicating with children rather than adults. You kind of just start acting like them. Im sure they go back to normal surrounded by adult influences.
