Perks of homeschooling… sometimes the kids ask for a little sleep-in/free day, and Momma says, “You got it!” 😂💕

Today was one of those days, and honestly, I think we all needed it!

One of my favorite things about homeschooling is having the freedom to choose the curriculum, create our own schedule, and adjust things when our family needs a slower day. We don’t have to fit our lives into a traditional school schedule, and I truly love being able to make homeschooling work for my little crew. Some days are full of lessons and hard work, and other days we can slow down, sleep in, spend time together, and just enjoy being a family. 🥰

And this Momma definitely appreciated getting to sleep in too! 😂 I woke up to Daddy helping the kids cook breakfast and then serving it to me in bed. My heart could not have been fuller. There’s just something so sweet about watching your babies learn from their daddy and seeing him love on all of us in the little everyday ways. 💗

I really couldn’t feel more blessed with the family God has given me and the life we’ve built together. It may not always be perfect, but it’s ours, and I’m so thankful for every messy, busy, beautiful part of it. These are the moments I know I’ll look back on and miss someday.

The kids are headed to my in-laws tonight, and I’m heading off to work. So we’re going to soak up this little bit of kid-free time because this might very well be our last kid-free weekend before baby #4 makes her big debut! 🥹🎀

I homeschooled during the big lockdown, it was work! but very rewarding and my son caught up in his reading level *pats self on back haha

@RedBaron nope. We often meet with other homeschool families/other families at the library. Plus our friends have little ones their age as well.

I was never homeschooled, although retrospectively, I feel like I should have been.

For as long as I can remember, I've always been an "on my own terms" kind of person when it comes to learning.the subjects I want to learn.

Not to be offensive, but I've worked with and dealt with kids who were homeschooled. They act like they were locked in a bomb shelter and then released into the wild. They seem afraid and unsure how to socialize.
