Not for years
LavidaRaq · F
Im sorry you had to go through that. I live on the land I was raised on. I put myself a little house here and love every day I get to live here. I was away for 18 years. Longed to be home all that time. Needless to say, I’m very grateful.

@LavidaRaq my grandfather died a couple year's ago. So I took it over

@lilylovesgaming1986 there’s nothing like a place to call your own.
lilylovesgaming1986 · 36-40, F
@LavidaRaq nobody else in the family wanted it. They sure didn't want the neighbor to own it

Yes. My dad built the house when they got married. They lived there all their married life and until they both passed away. I would have liked to have kept the house in the family. Unfortunately, that didn't work out. I'm sorry it didn't turn out that way for you.

My mom lived in our childhood home until she passed in 2012. I sold that home afterwards. It was hard to let it go. So many great memories growing up there.

@lilylovesgaming1986 yeah, sorry to hear that. It’s so hard for a child to keep moving. Hard to make really good friends and feeling unsettled most of the time.
lilylovesgaming1986 · 36-40, F
@TravisTx we did stay in town.
BeachGirl47 · 26-30, F
@TravisTx My mom left the house to me. It wasnt my childhood home. I kept it after she passed on. My step dad still lives there

Yes both and my siblings sometimes too. Close family ties if anyone needs support we go home (to my parents) to help each other. My mom got kicked out of her parents house at a young age too. I think she chose to leave her parents had an alcohol problem

My father built his house when he came home from World War II in 1946 and lived there until he died in 2015. I left when I was 18 and never looked back. I still have nightmares about it.

I don't have a childhood home. My parents were on the run from the beginning and never stopped, until my dad died and then my mother became stationary for the first time since she left her childhood home.
SUPERVlXEN · F
My parents are both deceased, but didn't live in my childhood home at that time. They divorced just before I turned into my teen years.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
No they both passed. I inherited the house and property and still own it.

@Roundandroundwego how is that funny

@lilylovesgaming1986 not like we stayed in a"home", we were baggage and only my great and powerful "father" mattered. He had a dwelling.

Yes, my parents got married as teenaged bride and groom when they lived in Scandinavia, then they immigrated as newlyweds to Canada with old family money behind them and bought a farm in Canada which had a big farmhouse already on it. They started their family in Canada and still live there to this day!
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
Nope, we left that house when I was 9.
Ducky · 31-35, F
