Were your parents strict when you were growing up?

I would say that I grew up in a pretty strict and religious household. My parents, dad especially, were the old school "spare the rod, spoil the child" type like how their parents raised them, if you get what I mean.

My mom has always been the serious, no-nonsense type, so she was pretty strict. My dad, not at all. He’s always been more laid back. It would sometimes lead to them arguing since my dad would my sister and I get away with stuff that my mom wouldn’t, especially when we were teenagers.
