Long Distance Parenting

Even though she isn't in the direct path of this latest hurricane my kid is still on the west coast of FL and that has my blood pressure up a bit. Her's too, honestly. This day two years ago she went cross state to dodge one. Where she went to lost power whilst her apartment didn't. 😅

I'm in the panhandle almost at the Alabama line. It's not even raining yet. Might get breezes and a sprinkle as it stands right now

Hope she does well

@Pretzel @ineedadrink We are hunkering in and watching TV. Fortunately we still have electricity and Internet. 🙂

@Musicman looks like it may bypass ta.pa and St Pete and just beat up appalachicola and Tallahassee

@Pretzel Hopefully it misses you.

I hope she is safe and well. The wet and windy weather we get at this time of the year is often the tailend of the hurricane season on the other side of the Atlantic. But so far nowhere near as extreme, thankfully.

Its a tough call i live upstate ny to avoid tropical weathee. Given global warming winters isnt so bad.

@exchrist Winters aren't nearly as harsh as they used to be. The invasive bugs are loving it.

@ineedadrink definitely

Aw I hope she's ok. I just lost power.

My wife and I live on the South West Coast of Florida. As long as your daughter is south of Tampa she will be fine.
