Adventures in parenting

Getting ready for school and I see something crusty on my daughter’s (9 years old) elbow. I asked her what that is and she looked at it and said it’s toothpaste from las night.
My son (7 years old) jumped off the couch and declared that he could clean it off. Without looking at him I said “Don’t lick her.”
He silently sat back down.

@WanderlustCat It’s been an…experience.

My oldest son used to sneak into his brother's room to write things on his forehead or draw hitler mustaches on his face every morning before he went to school.
In order to avoid a war I would just clean it off before it was noticed.

I remember those days. Enjoy them as they leave home before you know it. I miss our 6 kids at that age and the constant troop of the neighbor kids through our house. I can still see 10 kids or more at our table at lunch / snack time and miss that.

Parenting is the best journey of our lives; sometimes it's hard and sometimes it's funny. but all in all, it is enjoyable every single moment.
