@HairbrushDiva i googled it they named after one of the band members basically as the member was called mcfarland and there was a hal roach group of children actors in short films called our gang and the youngest was called spanky mcfarland google it interesting

@smiler2012 I know oldies that are played on the radio. I hadn't heard of Spanky and Our Gang before. They don't play them on the radio. Maybe the radio stations have vetoed names with "spank" in them like this site has. Lol :)

@smiler2012 I've heard of Laurel and Hardy but they were famous. They are available on DVD. I haven't got any of their DVDs but they aren't hard to find.
