Are you obligated to help your parents even if they were never there for you?
Lets say your dad was a drunk and your mom is a narcissist who never helped you and kicked you put when you were 19?

My mother was physically abusive and mentally cruel. Did her best to destroy my self esteem to puff up her own...but I made sure she had the very best of care when it was time for her to go to assisted living. I think that we all want to love our parents, and even if they are horrid, and it is more love/hate, we are obligated to them for giving us life.
