I feel like I'm supposed to be the good kid in my family and my sister is the troublesome one

@Bellaa hi5 good kid! What are your sister's specialities?

My sister was raised to be a perfect version of our dad. Sports, trophies, smarts, good grades.
While I was neglected by him, so I wpuld act out start fights, throw things and usually without thinking, break stuff. I was the troublemaker.
But the trouble creator was my dad. If he cared enough to raise us both, didn't guilt trip us when we didn't do stuff for him and be absent most of the time, we could have been normal family.

Honestly, my sister and I were both pretty good kids, but not until our teenage years. I was born into homelessness, and she was only three years old when I came around, so there wasn't much to be good or bad for until later on when we lived more stably.

hi Heretodaygonetomor
I disagree. Every family has a dynamic within which people play roles - like theatre. Roles can be good or bad but not people. There is an escape from acting out and it requires democracy.
Best wishes

@sogdianrock I do agree with you. I don't mean my sister is a bad person. She us much better than me at everything. And I live her and we are super close.
But yeah, she has a hot temper which gets her in trouble. And an opinionated mind, which does not like being silenced.
I am quite the opposite. And my role in these situations is that of the peacemaker. All the time.

beware roles. They limit and define. Most importantly in your own mind. You are full of potential. You are not the opposite of your sister but you are being trained by your family to be so. You are young enough to overcome this programming. Do not be your sister be yourself but exercise your opinion.
