My relative, John Howland, was a servant and fell off the boat in a storm. He was rescued with a boat-hook and made it to Plymouth. He stayed in touch and was joined by his kinsman, Henry Howland, a few years later. Henry was my 9th great grandfather. I am still working to confirm a direct ancestor on the Mayflower, but still haven't been able to prove it to my satisfaction.
