Dang, If you'd been around when I was a young guy I would have never gotten married. 😩
NCCindy · 36-40, F
As a. Mom of two daughters, I am raising them to be strong and powerful, yet loving women who don't need a man to validate them.
My marriage is ine of tru partnership, we're equal, but different and we support eafh other in life.

I totally agree. Now, more than ever a couple who decide to unite for life need to provide a synergy to each other. To be a team as best they can to make a go of it for each other and for their children. Personally, I helped my wife become what she always wanted to be and watched her grow as a person and a mother through it. And I sure as hell wouldnt have gotten as far as I did without her shoulder to shoulder with me for fifty years. And on the way our kids learned from us, made their own mistakes, but come through it and have done us proud.. 😷

It all sounds good old-fashioned and the correct way to instill what’s important to your daughter it’s unfortunate that very few of new generation young adults will practice this! I think social media media in general movies, music, etc. or to blame

One of my fondest moments. My daughter and her cousin were about 24 months in age. During a visit, he was standing about a hundred feet away when he yelled to my daughter. “Get over here.” She ignored him. He repeated louder, “Get over here! I wanna talk to you.”
She put her hands on her hips and coolly replied, “If you want to talk to me, then YOU come here.”

Absolutely! I passed that lesson onto my daughters. I had to learn it the hard way.

Been saying it's the females choice for a very long time now.
Even equality is relative, when no two are alike. The balance has to be skewed in favor of the female when put in a unknown situation.
Might is right, is just right down immoral.

Yesss, I spent so long trying to be "picked" and it made me a miserable, anxious mess.
I'm so much happier now.

If anyone out there has a son, this is what guys should be taught.

Mothers and fathers, raise your sons to be respectful, raise your daughters to know their worth.
