Our Mothering Sunday

Clocks went forward this morning, so the 6.45am wake-up we got from our daughter was actually 5.45am 😴 We were treated to breakfast in bed, and most of the tea stayed in the cups while it was being carried to our bedroom, an improvement on last year 👍

We had a lovely hand-made card with a drawing of a cat, which apparently is traditional for Mother's Day (or any other special occasion according to our girl).

Nice long walk on the beach in the sun. I went in the sea with junior . . came out again fairly rapidly 🥶

Sunday lunch was delicious. Slow cooked shoulder of pork, followed by blackberry and apple cake. I have just finished doing the washing up . . I swear my daughter used every single kitchen utensil. Still, that is a minor quibble when you have a cordon bleu chef in your home 😁

aah, my clock went one hour ahead last night as well, I tried to not think about it too much. Managed to wake up at 10:40, which is not too bad for me considering it was actually 9:40.

I'm not sure who the luckiest are in this household🤗
