Cold feet!

12 yo wouldn't pack her school bag on Sunday night and she was still day dreaming in the morning so we were in a rush to make it to school in time. Sat down to my desk at 9.30am and got a call almost immediately:

M: I can't find my PE shoes.
E: Where did you leave them?
M: Dunno, your house or mine. Can you get them for me?
E: Not now, I need to prepare for a meeting. What are you doing in PE?
M: Badminton.
E: Well you should be alright in bare feet.
M: But I'll get cold. 🙄
E: Not if you run around enough. 😁
M: *realises call is going nowhere* . . FINE! . . *ends call abruptly*

I phoned her at lunch to catch up.

M: Miss G told me off for being disorganised and forgetting stuff and I had VERY COLD FEET, but NOBODY CARES about my feelings 🤣🤣🤣

She'll moan but learn a lesson from it. 🤣

@Burnley123 I hope so. Normally there's nothing I'd like better than spending my Monday morning searching for lost PE kit over a 30 mile radius, but not yesterday 🙂

@SunshineGirl
a 30 mile radius

A great euphemism for a teenager's bedroom! 🤣

@Burnley123 That's true, but in this case she does actually have two bedrooms in which she can lose her possessions!

@SunshineGirl It's what (or so I have heard) some people with a financial services background would call 'excessive systemic risk.'
