A weekend well spent

I had 11 yo and 13 yo nieces to stay for the weekend. Friday night we stayed up late chatting, drinking hot chocolate, eating cake. Saturday morning went to the trampoline park to burn off some energy. In the afternoon we enjoyed the warm autumn sunshine on the beach. Back home for films in front of the fire. Both of them were fast asleep shortly after 9. I couldn't move them by myself, so I brought down their duvets and covered them up on the sofa. I had some trouble getting them up and ready this morning, but they weren't nearly as grumpy as teenagers can be 😊

They have just left. The fridge is somewhat bare and housework will have to wait for another week, but my heart is overflowing 😌
