Who remembers the trembling fear when Mom and Dad finally pulled the car over after numerous blind across the bench seat warning slaps?

@bijouxbroussard Reminds me of the day an old college buddy called me out of the blue and asked if I could come and pick him up. I said I thought he was living at the other end of the state, and he said he was in the process of moving back. Had gotten a ride with some friends, gotten into an argument with them, and they literally put him out on the freeway and drove off. We went and picked him, and his suitcase, up outside the phone booth at the nearest gas station or fast food place adjacent to the freeway. 😄
