According to my 9 y/o daughter I'm not allowed to cry when watching something on TV or watching a movie

She kicks me, hard, and it hurts. Apparently according to her a man is not allowed to show emotions. That's a clear trait she gets from her mum the narcissistic control-freak man-hating feminist princess that I left in 2018 to stop the escalation of DV, bullying and abuse against me and our daughter.

If I was in a romantic relationship with a woman that did what my daughter does, I would leave her. I've told my daughter multiple times that the behaviour is unacceptable, but she still does it.

Consequently, I almost never sit down and watch TV with her anymore.

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Tell me if you think I am.

She’s right. 😆

You have to understand that it's going to take great effort to get her out of that mindset. You don't just magically stop doing or believing something you were taught especially at a young age.

Anyone is allowed to cry and show emotion, it's not gender based.
