The moment that brought Joel to tears

Don't get me wrong Joe's a pretty emotional guy he doesn't hide his feelings and I've seen him cry. He doesn't cry as often as I do but I don't think anybody does because I'm just a mess.

So this morning our daughter was getting ready to head to school with star and my youngest and Joel looked over at her
And told her that he thought her hair looked really cute today. She had done it in a bunch of braids and did some kind of French braiding them all together. forgive me I'm not very up on ladies hair styles LOL.

And she turned around and looked at him and said thanks Papa, I hope your doctor's appointment goes good. I love you.

It is the first time that she has said that to him since we've been living together.

He gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead and said I love you too Hija.

So yep I'm crying, he's crying.

@AngelUnforgiven yes he's been waiting for this moment for a long time. So have I. I am glad that she is getting comfortable with him and is trusting him and opening up to him. I know she's still struggles for what her mother did and that's why she's closed off too new people. But I think she's learning that Joel isn't going anywhere and how much he cares about her and the rest of us.
