So proud of her

Our daughter is 12, she is on the spectrum, has sensory processing issues and OCD. I was very worried how she would handle a trip like this. We've never been on one like it

But she was done so well. We've had nightly family meetings going over the next days plans and meals. Thankfully we've been able to follow them pretty closely. We did have a chance the day we went to the museum because it was so crowded when we got there. She handled the change well. She loves museums but even she knew it wouldn't be enjoyable with that many people.

She had one moment at the game we're she got a little overwhelmed. There was a group of guys behind that clearly had a lot of beer and where talking the whole time very loud. They were annoying a lot of people. Well during the 7th inning stretch the jump up and bumped her head. She got upset and I could she the tears.

I was like come on man.

They guy was like sorry I'm just having fun.

Joel stood up and asked Sissy if she wanted to change seats. She did.

Those loud boys sure got quite when he did.

I encourage her to get something out of her sensory bag that would comfort her.

She did and in a few minutes and a few hugs she was ok. It was much quieter too. Maybe we should of had Joel move sooner.

She was fine with rest of the day.

5 years ago this trip would have been impossible. My baby girl was come so far
