I yelled at my daughter

She is getting into pre-teen age.
I had financial and relationship problems filling up my head.
We didn't agree on something and I lost my patience and yelled at her.
She went in her room crying.

After 5 minutes I went after her. Sat with her in her bed. And we discussed. I explained I wasn't right to yell but I have problems and it's sometimes difficult to deal with. We discussed she wasn't right either and we had a misunderstanding.
Then we hugged it out.
She said I can always calm her down even if I caused her stress.

I am not the best dad on the world. I am just trying.

You were a real man and modeled being a good person: we make mistakes, you apologized. You earned big points.

I think you're an awesome dad!!!

@justanotherone that's how you show her that you're always there for her. That's a strong foundation. I wish I had had that.

@Tumbleweed I can talk to you any time if you need . Not the same, I know. You cannot change the past.

You can only do your best. And so long as you keep on talking and loving there is nothing that cannot be undone and put right later.
You went back and fixed it and that's what really matters. That's a good dad.

You are a normal person with human limits. We are not perfect, but you admitted your fault and apologized.
I have a 14, 15 and 17 year olds, I totally understand
