Is it just me, or don't kids find bodies in the woods anymore? What's the world coming to when...

A 12 - year old found a skeleton hanging in a tree in the woods right behind the apartments that I used t live in. He thought it was a Halloween prank. But it was the skeleton of a young woman who had come up missing about 7 months before. He disassembled everything but the skull. And carried all the bones to the end of the apartment building. Ask an old man if he had a pair of bolt cutters. The man went to see what that kid was up too and saw the stack of bones. He called the police. The police asked him where he found them. He took the to the tree and showed the the skull that was still attached to the tree. He wanted the bolt cutters to remove the skull, it still had hair attached.😖 He told the police he was planning on putting the bones in his mothers bed while she was at work to play a prank on her. This happened over 20 years ago. I was still living there when that woman came up missing. The police had used a cadaver dog to search for her a couple days after she came up missing but never found her. That’s what was really crazy. And I smelled something dead a couple weeks later but thought a coyote had killed a cat or something over there. Used to hear them howl at night.

Our kids used to ride through what became known as "the killing fields", but they didn't see the bodies. They were really disappointed when they found out the bodies were there and they missed them.
