My wife and her sisters all referred to their father as “Daddy”.....in my family, none of us (8 siblings) referred to my father as “Daddy”. Then again, we didn’t call my mother ‘Mommy” when we were adults either.

Riley, no, it's kinda infantile.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Yes it’s fine, my girlf refers to her parents as mummy and daddy, I think quite a lot of well spoken English people do it.
exexec · 70-79, C
Sure. If that is what she has called him all of her life Why change? My adult children call me "Daddy."

I don't think I have since middle school. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but it is unusual.
Yah why not?

@TryingtoLava its not much of a demand for the moonlight will make you look up. Rejoice! Go outside and assume victory position! Remember, even in defeat we claim VICTORY! You take america with you!

The royals called the Queen, “mummy,” so I don’t see why not.

I do that anytime I talk about him, and called him that to his face and “Momma’s” because that’s what loving southern daughters do .
