I don't think "de-value" is the word I'd choose, but if someone's first priority in a relationship is sex, I would think they're not yet ready to settle down, or maybe even immature.
@Saage Agree. This is why I think being both demi- and sapio-sexual as I am gives me a better rounded view of what relationships should be. To me secks is a thing, and a relationship should be comprised of many things, secks being just one aspect.
