You ever feel like in this increasingly digital world that we forgot how to connect with people in our waking lives?

Or maybe we compare the friendships we had as kids to the complicated ones of adulthood, feeling like there's always a space between you that you can't quite place?.

Perhaps it's intimacy we chase and crave?. Why we seek it through relationships because we want to be understood and be in a flow with somebody else.

Back then it was pokemon in a tent and stick fights, now it's meeting for lunch and not seeing them again for maybe a month or 2, or even years.

I think it's consistency and intimacy we want for in that pairing. True familiarity

It's funny to blame the phones and devices. We have to ignore the disconnect that privatized housing and the car culture isn't helping.
But let's not pretend we're troubled and trying to solve a thing.

@Roundandroundwego it's definitely a compounded issue.
@Mordechai communists understand. We are always telling people that we must build communities that may not exclude people - first. Not after work as a charity. And you kill us in return. Aloha! We lost and peaceful life was never even likely. Salutations to the killer empire of money. Socialism never could kill you!

@Mordechai the society isn't alienated by accident. The winners crushed community. They're openly against the entitlements that make us civil. We understand that, but denial is most effective. Cul de sacs and turns, not community. That's no accident.
