I have great problems with my father. Sperm donor is a good name for him as I've no longer anything to do with him. My mother, I have spent a total of 5 days with her in my life after the age of 2. And then she went on drugs and now I've had to cut her off too.
I used to get jealous of my friends for having parents who cared about them when I was in school. I still feel jealous sometimes of my coworkers who have proper relationships with their parents. I feel saddened by their friends and hangouts as well as I don't have those. For me, jealousy is feelings of sadness and longing. But those feelings happen less when I have someone I get to play with. And I have one very close person who gives me that.
Feeling jealous is natural imo. Its knowing something should be a certain way and acknowledging it. But you're a stronger person every time you accept and move past it. pardon my opinion on your feelings as these are really just how I feel about mine.

Its understandable actually. A father is supposed to be our first supporter and ultimate protector. Above all he is our "ideal", and unfortunately you missed out on that part. Thats not on you, thats on him completely, however if he found out you were alive, he might (probably) would try to step into the roll now, albeit a "tad" late, but nonetheless. Being a daddys girl is in the DNA of a lot of women, its normal.
This is a hard choice for you if you take that step towards him though, maybe using your sister as the initial go between / conduit if you choose.
If you dont, and you decide to stay on your current path, then you're safe and no harm / no foul kind of thing. However, if you decide to see what if you talked to him and made yourself known to him you will have an answer one way or another if having a dad in your life is meant to be.

You know I really feel sorry for you I also feel sorry for your father because it is possible he was never told about you. Have you ever asked your mother if your father even knows that you exist.

That's quite understandable.
I'm very sorry.
I'm very sorry.

It means also that you never found a man in your life who coulf be a fther figure for you
It doesn"r need to be the "sperm donor", being a father really starts when the kid is present

@Heretochat Honestly, even with a father figure, it is different from having a biological parent.
This is why many sperm/egg donor conceived children grow up and end up being against donations. In fact, a Harvard study did show that around 70-80% I believe, children born out of these situations don't recommend it.
Keep in mind, most of these children do have 2 active parents.
But other than having a figure of a specific gender (which is important), it's also about a child's right to their biological identity, biological bond, cultural bond, medical history, genetic mirroring...etc.

@LadyInBlack I agree on the last part about biological identity and genetic, that's completly cleat
But I have the feeling the topic was about the emotional dimension

@Heretochat These type of situations are just depression all around honestly.
Difficult to say, humans are complex creatures.
I don't wish this type of experience on anyone, there needs to be a better way to keep track of paternity honestly. If I were a guy, I would want to know if I have a kid out there. If I were a kid, I would like to know who my dad is even if he doesn't want a relationship with me.

It's a shame. He has a responsibility to discover every human being he brought into the world.
I'm sorry he's doing this to you.
